Recognizing the need for a concerted effort to improve the education of students, ARC was founded in 1977 to develop curriculum materials and to conduct research on the best academic practices for children. ARC Tutoring, sponsored by ARC Associates, is a non-profit organization based in Oakland, California. Its focus is to serve Program Improvement schools and their communities by providing an intensive after-school program of reading/language arts, ESL, and math for students in K-8th grade.
ARC Tutoring program is characterized by:
